Wednesday Work in Process from Needle and Foot

Hello!! Just a quick note to check in with you this fine morning. We had a sudden thunderstorm last night which was fun. However when we have a quick change in barometric pressure, that triggers a migraine which was the not-so-fun part. This morning I am moving a bit slow and thought I would post a bit about what I am working on.

Wrapping up the Coronacation Placemat Challenge from From My Carolina Home

Last week brought a few more packages of placemats for our challenge and a couple of photo entries.  Sometimes it is just fun to go to the post office and get happy mail, even if it isn’t really for me.  These two arrived the same day.  Carolyn Howerton sent a lovely pastel floral mat, and Carole Leaverton sent a fun sailing theme placemat.

Sewing for the Placemat Challenge, Prizes and More from From My Carolina Home

This week I got busy making my Cornoacation Placemat for the challenge.  This post will have the parameters, deadlines, and prizes you can win.  The placemat doesn’t have to be fancy, something simple will be just fine.  Mine is just strips of fabrics, quilted and bound on my domestic machine.  Simple and easy!   I began with selecting some fabric prints that would be meaningful to how I am spending my time now.

I cut strips 3-1/2-inches wide x 14 inches, and arranged them in a pleasing way.
